Get Help in Smart Service and iFleet

Start submitting support requests in Smart Service and iFleet. Get help faster!

The fastest way to reach the Smart Service Help Desk from inside the software is the Support Request button. It is built into both Smart Service and iFleet, and it routes your issue straight into the support queue without requiring you to leave the app, dig up a phone number, or compose an email. The walkthrough below shows where to find it in each app and what happens after you submit.

In Smart Service

Inside Smart Service classic, click the Help tab in the ribbon, then click the Support Request button.

Smart Service Cloud and Smart Service 365 use a slightly different in-app support flow because they live in the browser instead of on the desktop. Look for the support or help option in the main navigation of those editions, or reach out to the Smart Service Help Desk directly.

In iFleet

On a phone or tablet, open iFleet, tap the three-line hamburger menu in the corner, and tap the Support Request button.

The same workflow is available to any tech in the field, which is useful when a phone call would interrupt a job in progress.

What Happens After You Submit

Tapping Support Request in either app opens a secure online portal where you describe the issue, add any context the support team will need, and send it.

The request enters the Smart Service support queue and gets picked up in order, which is typically faster than email and lets you keep working while you wait for a response. If the issue is urgent and you need a same-call answer, the phone line is still the right channel.

Where to Go From Here

If you are not seeing the Support Request button, make sure you are running a current version of Smart Service or iFleet. Older builds predate the feature. Beyond the Support Request workflow, the Help ribbon also surfaces the Knowledge Base and the MSD Help Desk shortcuts for self-service troubleshooting before a ticket is even needed.

If you are evaluating Smart Service for your service business and want a software stack that handles scheduling, dispatch, customer history, mobile invoicing, and recurring service contracts, Smart Service integrates with QuickBooks and the iFleet companion app keeps techs synced with the office.
